Firethorn (Pyracantha) Bonsai Tree | Semi-Shaped | In 15cm Pot
Representative image: You will receive a similar tree. Each bonsai is unique.
Introduction
Firethorn brings small leaves, fine branching and potential seasonal flowers and colourful ornamental berries to an outdoor display. The semi-shaped form leaves room for gradual development as your confidence grows. It is supplied in an approximately 15cm pot.
About this bonsai
This thorny shrub responds well to careful bonsai training. The amount and colour of fruit depend on the variety and growing conditions; flowers and berries are not guaranteed on arrival. Handle the branches carefully.

Position & light
Keep outdoors in a bright position with sun and good airflow. Shelter the pot from extreme drying winds and protect it during severe weather.
Watering
Check regularly and water thoroughly as the upper soil layer begins to dry. Demand can increase when the tree is flowering or carrying fruit. Allow excess water to drain freely.
Feeding & pruning
Feed during active growth. Trim selectively to maintain shape, bearing in mind that removing flowering shoots can reduce the berry display. Wear suitable protection when handling thorns.
Winter care
Keep cool outdoors with protection for the pot during prolonged hard frost. Check moisture through winter, including during dry, windy spells. Berries are ornamental and should not be eaten.

Trees
- Image shown is of the actual tree you will receive unless stated otherwise in the actual product's description
- The height given is from the base of the pot to the top of the tree.
- The tree received may be slightly different from the picture. Whilst we try to keep the photos of our trees as up to date as possible, these are live plants and, as such, will continue to grow and change slightly in between the times we take the photos.
Pots
- Some of our Bonsai pots are bought in bulk and unfortunately it's impossible to photograph each single item so the photograph used is taken from one random item of each collection we sell. In 99% of cases this means that any differences won't even be noticeable, however, if you have seen a particular image of a pot that has a certain streak of paint in a certain place, bear in mind that the pot you receive may not be 100% identical to this.
