Buddhist Pine (Podocarpus Micro) Bonsai Tree | Large Shaped Specimen | In 60cm Pot
Actual tree: Photos show the exact tree you will receive.
A truly impressive specimen, this magnificent Podocarpus—also known as the Buddhist Pine—will create an exceptional centrepiece in any garden, courtyard or outdoor bonsai collection.
Standing approximately 1.3 metres tall and spreading around 1.1 metres wide, the tree has a beautifully mature appearance, with a substantial textured trunk and sweeping branches arranged into defined, cloud-like pads. Its dense, deep-green foliage is complemented by fresh, bright-green growth, giving the canopy wonderful depth and contrast.
Presented in a large 60cm-wide rectangular ceramic bonsai pot, this is a striking, established tree with enormous presence. Its elegant movement, impressive proportions and carefully developed structure make it a genuinely special bonsai for an experienced collector or anyone looking for an unforgettable outdoor statement piece.
Position and winter care
Podocarpus is primarily an outdoor bonsai and should be kept outside throughout the year in a bright, sheltered position. Although the species is relatively hardy, trees grown in bonsai pots have more exposed roots, so the pot and root system should be protected during prolonged or particularly severe frost. Shelter from cold, drying winds is also recommended.

Trees
- Image shown is of the actual tree you will receive unless stated otherwise in the actual product's description
- The height given is from the base of the pot to the top of the tree.
- The tree received may be slightly different from the picture. Whilst we try to keep the photos of our trees as up to date as possible, these are live plants and, as such, will continue to grow and change slightly in between the times we take the photos.
Pots
- Some of our Bonsai pots are bought in bulk and unfortunately it's impossible to photograph each single item so the photograph used is taken from one random item of each collection we sell. In 99% of cases this means that any differences won't even be noticeable, however, if you have seen a particular image of a pot that has a certain streak of paint in a certain place, bear in mind that the pot you receive may not be 100% identical to this.
