Position & light
Provide bright light, gentle sun and shelter from strong winds. Give some shade in intense summer heat and maintain airflow around the canopy.
Watering
Keep the root ball evenly moist without waterlogging. Water thoroughly as the surface starts to dry and use good drainage. An acidic to neutral growing medium is appropriate; rainwater can be helpful in hard-water areas.
Feeding & pruning
Feed during active growth with a suitable fertiliser and trim after flowering where possible. Avoid repeated heavy pruning that removes potential flowering shoots.
Winter care
Protect from severe frost and cold winds. With cultivar hardiness unconfirmed, a bright, cool, frost-free space is a cautious winter choice for this small-potted tree.
