About this bonsai
Its evergreen foliage and measured growth reward patient refinement. This species is best suited to someone who can provide an outdoor growing space and learn pine-specific seasonal techniques.

Position & light
Keep outdoors in a sunny position with good airflow. Avoid permanent indoor display and acclimatise gradually if the tree has been under cover.
Watering
Water thoroughly as the upper soil layer starts to dry, then allow good drainage. Avoid leaving the roots constantly wet, but do not let the entire root ball dry out.
Feeding & pruning
Use suitable bonsai feed during active growth. Japanese White Pine is a single-flush pine and should not be fully decandled like Japanese Black Pine. Plan pruning and repotting with species-specific guidance and avoid heavy work on a weak tree.
Winter care
Keep outdoors with protection for the pot and roots during prolonged hard freezes. Maintain airflow and check moisture during winter dry spells; do not overwinter in a heated living room.

Please note:
Trees
- Image shown is of the actual tree you will receive unless stated otherwise in the actual product's description
- The height given is from the base of the pot to the top of the tree.
- The tree received may be slightly different from the picture. Whilst we try to keep the photos of our trees as up to date as possible, these are live plants and, as such, will continue to grow and change slightly in between the times we take the photos.
Pots
- Some of our Bonsai pots are bought in bulk and unfortunately it's impossible to photograph each single item so the photograph used is taken from one random item of each collection we sell. In 99% of cases this means that any differences won't even be noticeable, however, if you have seen a particular image of a pot that has a certain streak of paint in a certain place, bear in mind that the pot you receive may not be 100% identical to this.
