Introduction
Chinese Quince brings a graceful trunk line and changing seasonal interest to an outdoor bonsai display. Its informal-upright styling adds movement to the trunk line. It is supplied in an approximately 26cm pot. This individual tree was imported from Japan and is presented as a miniature landscape.

Spring blossom and fruit may develop under favourable conditions, followed by autumn leaf colour and a bare winter silhouette. Flowering and fruiting are not guaranteed each year or on delivery.

Position & light
Provide a bright outdoor position with good natural light and airflow. Protect from extreme drying winds and sudden harsh weather after arrival.
Watering
Water thoroughly when the upper soil layer starts to dry, checking more often in warm weather. Allow excess water to drain and prevent the root ball from drying out completely.
Feeding & pruning
Feed during active growth and prune selectively to preserve the established outline. Allow for the flowering cycle if fruit is desired. Assess spring repotting according to roots and soil condition.
Winter care
Leaf fall is normal. Keep cool outdoors with protection for the container during prolonged severe frost, and shelter emerging growth from late frosts.
